The German Cockroach is the one we deal with the most when performing a Cockroach Service. This is what we will be addressing in this article. If you have questions regarding wood, american, oriental or brown banded cockroaches, please call.
The German Cockroach is very successful at establishing in buildings. This cockroach is also smaller than many other species, so it can more easily hide and fit into very small cracks and crevices to evade humans. That is also the main reason they can most effectively be controlled with bait in cracks and crevices near harborage. The immature cockroaches will live off excretions and molts from the adult cockroaches, so they can remain hidden away from most surface treatments. When Pro-Con places out bait we basically put these Cockroaches to work. Our bait turns cockroach feces and carcasses into bait, This is called a domino effect. We also incorporate what is called an, “IGR” (Insect Growth Regulator). Insect growth regulators are pesticides that don’t usually kill insects outright, but instead affect the ability of insects to grow and mature normally. If immature insects are not able to molt into reproductive adults, the population will die out.
